Some tips for keeping your carpets in tip top condition.

… Remove stains as soon as they occur, the longer you leave them there the harder it will become to remove.

…You should be having your carpets professionaly cleaned every 12 to 18 months, oily residues on your carpets will attract more dirt than normal, your carpets will wear out more quickly if they are not cleaned regularly.

…Vacuum thoroughly and frequently. Pull all that damaging dry soil out before it becomes ground in.

…Always test any spot and stain removers in a inconspicuous place first before proceeding, try to stay clear of foaming, detergent products you can purchase over the counter at hardware shops etc, they mainly only do more damage and leave horrific amounts of foam and detergent residue behind or worse.

…Don’t use heavy high alkaline detergents to clean your carpets, they leave harmful residues behind unless preventative measures are taken, your carpet will re-soil quickly and probably look worse than when you started.

… Remember not all carpets are the same, and some need to be treated differently from others, if in any doubt about spot or stain treatments always seek professional advice first.

…Try to use non-detergent spot and stain removers on your carpets, they are non-resoiling and much safer for you to use.
